Welcome to Tilton-on-the-Hill & Halstead Parish Council

Tilton on the Hill village is a Saxon settlement at the crossroads of two ancient paths, sited at the pinnacle of high Leicestershire.

From the distance, only the Needle spire can be seen, with the village obscured by trees.

At nearly 700ft above sea, the church sits at the high point, with the old village a strip development along Main Street and Loddington Lane to the south.

20th Century development was focused to the North and North West of the Church.
